Our projects range from kitchens, closets, garages, storage rooms, home offices, and entire homes to packing and unpacking for moves. Every project is different, which keeps the work interesting.
It is company policy that Ursa Org staff do not work with or around hazardous materials such as mold, bodily fluids, or certain building materials. However, staff should expect to encounter homes that are generally dirty or in a state of disarray, as this is the nature of working as a professional organizer.
Absolutely not. Ursa Staff go through a period of company training and on-the-job learning before they are assigned to projects in a lead or solo role.
Hoarding disorder is a diagnosable psychological condition that is less common among cluttered homes than most people expect. Many clients see their own untidy home and use the term "hoarder" as a shame marker, but they are not truly hoarders. In cases of true hoarding, Ursa Org refers clients to a specialist.
As a general rule, Ursa staff do not clean (ie: sweep, vacuum, wipe surfaces, etc). Occasionally one might encounter a small cleaning task that makes sense for the project, but cleaning is not a requirement. For example, a staff member may find a dusty shelf that they choose to quickly wipe down before they set things on it.
While staff are expected to be able to lift up to 30 pounds on their own, they are encouraged to team lift heavier items or leave especially heavy items (such as furniture) for moving professionals.
Tell me a little bit about you, and remember to attach your resume!
